DeeAnn Barnes has 13 years’ experience representing insurers. She started her career practicing law with a firm that represented insurers in a variety of areas, including insurance defense, bad faith, complex coverage issues and corporate, regulatory compliance and legislative matters. She later worked with a large national insurance defense law firm where she handled the defense of a wide range of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Wilkins Law, she practiced law at a boutique law firm that defended national transportation companies in personal injury and wrongful death matters. Ms. Barnes’ practice at Wilkins Law centers on insurance defense, subrogation matters, and general civil litigation.
Ms. Barnes graduated from the University of St. Thomas magna cum laude and from the University of Minnesota Law School cum laude. Ms. Barnes began her legal career as a paralegal for a large insurance company, assisting in the defense of insureds in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. This influenced her decision to become a lawyer and, after graduating from law school in 2006, Ms. Barnes moved to Arizona.
